Joy has come on the treble for a Westport couple. Joe and Eithne Ring are celebrating the birth of their triplets, Cathy, Emily and David.
They were born at University College Galway on Wednesday morning last, September 10th, at 9.30. Cathy was the heaviest of the three, scaling 5lbs 11oz. Emily was 5' 6" and David was 5' 2". The triplets have been in special care since the birth, but they are doing splendidly.
Eithne told the Connaught Telegraph she was absolutely thrilled."The important thing is that they are fit and well, and we hope to bring them home to Westport within the next two weeks."
Joe, a brother of Mayo Dail Deputy Michael, thanked everybody for their good wishes since the happy event. He said: "It is taking time for the whole thing to sink in. We are delighted that everything went so well, and special thanks is due to the hospital staff."
