Maria's moving to TV
LOCAL radio reporter Maria Mullarkey is about to embark on a glamorous career in television. The Bangor -Erris girl, who was brought up in Bermingham, has secured a new position as a presenter on the Network 2 "Streetwise" programme which goes on air later this autumn. The programme deals with consumer issues- an area in which Maria gained experience while working as producer on the Tommy Marren Show with Mid and North West Radio. Maria has been with M&NWR for the past three and a half years working from both the Ballyhaunis and Sligo studios. She is daughter of Michael and Lena Mullarkey, Bangor Erris and is the youngest of nine children.
