EVERY DAY is Valentine's Day for Mulranny lovebirds Milan Joyce and Ivor Marsh who were brought together by Mayo Person of the Year, Dr. Jerry Cowley, who has now earned the title 'Dr. Love'.

The couple, who are both disabled, met at St. Brendan's Village, Mulranny - the low support housing unit for disabled and elderly people - and Dr. Cowley was best man when they married in 1997.

Milan, a native of Kilmeena, and Ivor's love story will feature on RTE's afternoon programme 'Open House', hosted by Mary Kennedy and Marty Whelan, which goes out live at 3p.m. on today (Wednesday.).

Ivor, originally from England, was living at Belfarsad in Achill and first met Dr. Cowley when he worked in the Traveller's Friend Hotel, Castlebar.

When they went to reside in Mulranny the couple fell in love and celebrated their marriage in Kilmeena Church in September 1997.

Dr. Cowley has described them as 'two real lovebirds' and said it was the love story of the century. "I don't know two people as much in love," Dr. Cowley added. The day of their marriage was"one of the best days of my life."

While millions of couples celebrated Valentine's Day on Sunday, for Milan and Ivor everyday is Valentine's Day.
