Chiffchaff: Phylloscopus Collybita
The "trip-tsap - tsap-tsip" from a high song past heralds the end of winter and continues to October even in silent July when other birds are moulting.
It nests in brambles, it feeds mostly on insects. The willow
warbler is its twin but is heard mainly in April and May and
chooses much the same habitat. Ten other breeding bird species
make their nest in this type of habitat.
