Wed at Ballintubber Abbey

The marriage ceremony has taken place at Ballintubber Abbey of Elaine McGrath, daughter of Paddy and Nora McGrath, Tucker Street, Castlebar, and John Ryan, Doon, Co. Limerick, son of Brid and the late Tom Ryan. Rev. Fr. Paddy Gilligan, C.C., Castlebar, performed the ceremony.
The bridesmaids were Emer and Geraldine McGrath, and the best men were Declan and Fergal Ryan.The readers at the Nuptial Mass were David McGrath and Mary Cora Roche, while the beautiful music was provided by the Ginnelly Sisters.
Guests were entertained afterwards at a reception in the Welcome Inn Hotel.
Elaine and John first met in Romania a number of years ago while working as volunteers in an orphanage. They subsequently worked together in Calcutta as helpers of Mother Teresa. They returned home some time ago to take up employment in Limerick, utilising their vast experience in caring for the handicapped.
The esteemed couple are wished every health and happiness in their life
together.
