LADIES GAA TAKE FOUR IN A ROW
Carnacon U-14 girls retained their county title for the fourth year in succession when they beat Kiltane in the U-14 County Final in Foxford on Monday evening.Carnacon dominated the match thorough and were determined to take the cup back to its native land Carnacon.
FEILE PEILE NA N-îG
Carnacon U-14 girls are binding to retain their All-Ireland Feile title this week.They will be hosting Shelmeliers of Wexford for the weekend which are classes as one f the strongest incoming teams in Feile this year.
However Carnacon having a county final behind them will be eager and determined to see of the challenge. Carnacon play Shelmelers on Friday evening next 7pm.
Then on Saturday they play the Neale and Leixlip at 10.30am. This year Feile Peile Na n-îg will be bigger and better then ever in that there will be 32 ladies teams competing in the competition. Best of luck girls!
REGRETTED DEATH
The death took place at Swinford District hospital on Monday of Mrs Catherine Lally.The deceased who was in her 90's was an extremely popular person and her demise is very much regrated.
The remains were removed from Coadys' Funeral Parlo to St Mary's Church Carnacon on Tuesday evening and after requiem mass burial took place in the near by commentary.
Chief Mourners: Tom Lally Carnacon, Seamus Lally Parks, Maureen Ford Chargio, Pete Lally England, Joe Lally Cork, John Lally England Lauretta Lally England, Vincent Lally.
CAKE SALE
There was a large attendance in Carnacon Centre on Saturday night last for the Cake Sale in aid of the Carnacon National School. Thanks to every one who contributed.COMMUNITY NOTICES

P A major clean up drive is being undertaken in all villages in the Carnacon Church area in the next few weeks as part of our campaign in the Mayo Cleaner Community Awards.There will be a member of the Development Association and action group appointed to take charge of the clean up.
A skip will be located in Carnacon on the weekend of July 19/20/21st. This service is provided free, everyone co-operation is requested.
WESTERN ALZHEIMER TEA DAY
Ballyglass Ladies Club are hosting a Tea Day in aid of this worthy cause on Friday July 5th from 11am to 12 noon. All contributions greatly accepted.THE CARRA LODGE (KEANES)
