DOWNHILL HOTEL, MAYO STAGES RALLY
On Sunday the 10th of March 1996 Ballina Motor Club, now celebrating 20 years of involvement in motor sport, will host the 1996 Downhill Hotel Mayo Stages Rally. The Mayo stages is the first round in both the Coras Vard National Rally Championship and the W. J. Dolan Border Championship.
The Downhill Hotel have once again sponsored this event providing both an excellent headquarters and financial assistance to confirm their existing commitment to motor sport in County Mayo.Additional sponsorship has been received from...

The 1996 Mayo Stages Rally follows 1995's successful format and will run 4 stages three times with a centralised service area in the Mayo-Sligo Mart, Ballina.

The stages themselves are in the Ballina/Crossmolina area this year. Spectators on these stages will witness some of Ireland's top driving talent in action.
