Dealing with loss and separation is one of the many areas in life which people encounter at some stage.

In December, 1994, a group of lone parents got together in Castlebar as they saw the need for a support group for one parents families.

The aims of the group are four-fold:

The group has had a very successful two years and was involved in many events, including the RTE Telethon and People in Need.

They organised workshops and assertiveness, counselling and law courses.

Group meetings take place on the first and third Tuesday of every Month at the Welcome Inn Hotel, Castlebar, at 9.00p.m. The first meeting of the new season took place last Tuesday, with the next meeting on Tuesday, October 15th.

One Less has now opened a branch in the Family Centre, Sligo. If you feel the group could be of benefit to you, why not come along to the next meeting.

The code provides new procedures for the making of boundary alterations including consideration of all relevant aspects by the authorities directly involved and public consultation.
