BOHOLA NOTES

BACK TO SCHOOL IN BOHOLA

Bohola National School re-opened on Monday 2nd September. We hope all the children enjoyed their holidays, and that they will return to school with renewed energy.

Congratulations to all the students from the Bohola area who did so well in the Leaving Certificate. Continued success to them as they progress further.

Recent Death.

The death took place recently of Jim Hunter, 13 Sheridan Park, and formerly of Treenduff. Remains were removed from the Thomas St. funeral home, Castlebar, to Bohola church. Burial took place in the new cemetery.

Twin Arrivals

Congratulations to Pauline and John Doyle, Clogher on the birth of their twin boys recently. The twins were christened on Saturday 24th August in Bohola church namely: Michael and Timothy.

Newly Weds

Congratulations are extended to Caitlin Woods, Lismirrane, on her marriage with Todd O'Mahony from Mitchelstown, Cork.

The marriage took place in Bohola. The couple are wished many years of health and happiness.

Get Well Wishes

Get well wishes are extended to Mrs. Josie Manley, Barleyhill, who has been in Mayo General Hospital, but who is on the mend again.

Renew Meetings

Renew meetings are taking place in the Parish, and information on Renew will be given at a holy hour on Friday evening 30th August, from 8.30 p.m -9.30p.m.

The Renew season starts off on Sunday 6th October and it is hoped that more people will get involved in different areas of the Liturgy.

No Jackpot Winners

The winners in the Village Inn Community Centre Draw were Kathleen Molloy, Carracastle; Marty Beirne, Toughnane; Bernie Conlon, Lisbrogan and Geraldine Higgins, Meelick.

The jackpot wasn't won this week so it's up in the five hundreds next week.

Foster Care Thanks

Irish Foster Care Association Mayo branch wish to thank everyone who contributed to their Church gate collection last weekend. The amount collected was £70.

Altar Society

The Altar Society for September are Bernardine Malee, Margaret Molloy, Maureen Byrne, Sarah Howley and Noreen Molloy.

Eucharistic Ministers

The Eucharistic Ministers for September are Tom Jordan, Mary Hall, Ann Gordon and Mary Loftus.
