Coventry senior citizens to visit Mayo

Twenty senior citizens from the Coventry area are to be taken on a six-day all-expenses paid holiday to visit their roots in Mayo.
Organised by the Coventry Mayo Association the group will arrive in Castlebar on Monday May 26.
For one of the group, Tony McDonnell from Knock and his wife, Betty from London, it will be a belated honeymoon. They were married last October in which was a romantic ending to a separation of over 50 years and it will be Tony's first visit home in 59 years.

- Jack and Theresa Hastings (Louisburgh and Kiltimagh)
- Arthur and Jean Flanagan (Ballina and Scotland)
- Michael and Margaret Ruddy (Louisburgh and Co. Tyrone)
- Sean and Bridget Casey (Partry and Kilmaine)
- Coventry Mayo Association president John Prendergast (Kilkelly)
- Austin and Mary O'Malley (Westport).
During their stay the group will visit Knock, Kiltimagh, Claremorris, Ballinrobe, The Neale, Cong Clonbur, Ballygarries, Carrownacon, Ballintubber and Partry. They will also call to Westport. Newport, Mulranny, Ballycroy, Bangor, Belmullet, Bellacorrick, Crossmolina and Pontoon.
Accompanying the senior citizens will be Mayo Association officers and committee members (all paying their own fares)
