The North Mayo Sculpture Trail begins in Ballina and follows the coastal route through Killala, Ballycastle, Belderriig, Belmullet and down to Blacksod. |

Sculptor: Niall O'Neill "Stratified Sheep Constructed and carved from sandstone and granite slabs, the piece reflects the land structure, and expresses the rural culture which formed it over millennia. Location: On the Glenamoy/Belmullet Road at Bellanaboy Bridge, take the road to Bangor, 400 yards on, before the Bridge on the West side of the road is site `K'. |

Sculptor: Marian O'Donnell "Acknowledgement" A 50 m long sculpture of earth and stone, which will both shelter and draw attention to the existing unmarked burial mound. A passageway draws the visitor through the sculpture, into the earth, to emerge and greet the vastness of the surrounding sea. Location: Take the Doohoma/Geesala road from the village of Glencastle between Bangor and Belmullet. Take the first road to the right and continue down to the beach. Drive across the beach to the road on the island. Opposite the first house on the left is site 'L'. |

Sculptor: George Trakas "Reconnections" This sculpture replaces the old road bridge by a
pedestrian footbridge across the Belmullet canal. It will
help to reestablish the patterns of movement which
originally existed in the town, while creating a focal point
along the canal banks. Location: on the canal on the north side of Belmullet town. |

Sculptor: Katherine West "Idir dha Sháile" A symbolic representation of the life cycle of the whale; metamorphosis from water, to earth, to grave, consisting of eleven incisions in the earth left empty, or filled with stone or water. Location: Take the Blacksod road out of Belmullet past Saleen Harbour, EIly Harhour and Elly Bay, take the third road on the left after Elly Bay and drive to Mullaghroe Beach. 100 yards in on the field on the north side of the road is site 'N'. |

Sculptor: Michael Bulfin "Deirble's Twist" A sculpture based on the local legend associated with St
Dervilla. Made by raising the existing granite boulders on
site and placing them in an ascending spiral. Location: Take the Blacksod Road out of Belmullet through Aughleam village to Blacksod Pier. Just before the pier, turn right up the hill for three-quarters of a mile to the car park. Directly behind the car park is site '0'. |
