Belcarra, County Mayo, Ireland

Luke's Cottage is named after the man who owned it. While Luke was alive his big open fire was very inviting and it was here you could lose many hours listening to his stories of days gone-by. The cottage sat empty for many years after Luke passed away and at Christmas 2000 Luke's grandson Oliver and his wife Eileen and family decided to renovate it.

The cottage is situated 3km from Castlebar in County Mayo in the West of Ireland in a quiet rural area. It is beautifully thatched and tastefully decorated with many old antiques from the past on display.

The living area is warm and inviting with the original Crain, Kettle and Pot hanging over the stove. The half front door leads out to two large gardens with plenty of room for playing and to the back there is a large barbeque area.

The kitchen is finished in the old style with a large Belfast sink but with modern appliances including Microwave, Washing machine and Tumble dryer.

Colour Television, Electric shower, Oil heating Included and turf included (if available).
