of Cong (location of 'Quiet Man' film) and within easy driving
distance of Galway (27 miles) and the beautiful mountains and scenery
of Connemara.

- Lough Corrib (adjacent to house) - salmon and trout fishing
- Lough Mask - host to Annual World Trout Angling Competition

- Course fishing available on lakes and rivers in vicinity

- Ballinrobe - Cloonacastle 18 hole championship golf course, 9 miles
- Within easy reach are 18 hole golf courses in Westport, Castlebar, Galway and Connemara
Walking
Many beautiful scenic walks in immediate vicinity of residence with breathtaking views of lakes, mountains and woodlands. Lough Mask and Corrib can be viewed from Mount Gable (3 miles).
Also within walking distance are ancient and pre-historic monuments which include:

- Stone circles
- Caves (potholing also)
- Carns

This is just a very quick note to compliment you on the excellent restoration of Ashford Lodge.
My wife and I were extremely comfortable and very impressed by the cottage itself and by the idyllic location (even if the suspension of the car may have a slightly different opinion!)
Our "normal" holiday is to rent a cottage and we would like to say that Ashford Lodge rates as one of the most comfortable and best equipped that we have visited.
