Islands View is situated three miles west of the picturesque village of Louisburgh in County Mayo. It is a stones throw from the southern shores of Clew Bay, looking out to the north on Clare Island and Achill Island, looking south at Delphi, on the northern edge of Connemara, with Killary Harbour beyond. The house is within easy reach of the town of Westport and the wild wilderness of Connemara.
Whether it is hill walking on Croagh Patrick, Golfing in Westport, Surfing on Carownisky beach, Sea Angling from nearby Roonagh Pier, Fly fishing on the many Inland lakes and waterways, Island hopping or just taking it all in, Islands View is in the ideal location to get away from it all.
Accommodation
- The entrance to the house is by steps into a spacious sunroom on the 1st floor with views to the south and west
- This leads, through French doors, to a large open-plan living/dining/kitchen area looking out to the west and north. The kitchen has fitted units, dishwasher, electric cooker, fridge/freezer and microwave oven. The dining area has a large country style table to seat large groups and the living area has a wood burning stove, comfortable seating, TV, DVD and video
- A small hallway off the living area leads to a guest toilet and a utility room with washer/dryer
- Downstairs there are 3 bedrooms with wardrobes, chests of
drawers, and bedside lockers
- bedroom 1 - double room with a double bed
- bedroom 2 - twin room with 2 single beds
- bedroom 3 - family room with 1 double and 1 single bed. Ensuite with bath and shower
- The end of the hall leads to a spacious shower room with an electric shower
- A porch area, off the downstairs hall leads to the back door looking down to the sea
- A secure storage area to the back of the house can be used for holding bikes, canoes, surf boards and other such large items. The house is centrally heated with an oil fired system.

- Bed linen, towels, heating and electricity included in the above
All pets are welcome in hard floor areas, just remember those people coming after you.
Getting There
- By Road
Heading west out of Dublin, take the N4 as far as Longford Town. Then take the N5 to Castlebar and on through to Westport. From Westport take the R335 past Croagh Patrick to the village of Louisburgh. Our house is situated three miles from Louisburgh on the coast close to Roonagh Pier. - By Rail
There are daily main line rail services from Dublin's Heuston Station to Westport. In Westport there is a very good Taxi service, with mini busses for large parties. - By Air
There are daily regional flights from Dublin to Knock Airport, at Charlestown on the N5, one hours drive from the house. Also there are schedule flights from Manchester, Birmingham Bristol and London. Car hire is readily available from the Airport.
