The
Gang
The gang is a group that miracuosly appeared
Each one of its members have memories shared
They can be seen walkin' the beaches of West Eire'
Laughing loudly in the pool halls so clearly
A little mad on that dance floor of Palm Court
Ah well, that's the way we were - the whole lot
Warmin' up by the turf fire singin' a Wolfe Tone song
Day breaks, the hay is turned the whole day long
But night- off the stack for more o' the craic
Til 4am the sun is just riin' along the horizon
Each of us wishin' and hopin' for days of old fun
Up the gang! Together again- that day will come
And if by chance one o' us should romance
Do not be smug get a hold of the old jug
Lift those pints high and give a wink and smile
For it will not be long til the yanks are with your
style!!
