Mayo Communities

On the 'Mayo on the Move' website we have the facility for communities to put information on about their area free of charge. Below are just 3 examples of communites that have recently made use of this facility.

Kenny/Naughton School

This annual school, (October bank holiday weekend), consists of lectures, readings, local tours, workshops, new publications, drama and entertainment to commemorates the lives, works and times of two distinguished Irish writers, Bill Naughton and P D Kenny, from the Aghamore area. Thanks to Paul Rogers for putting this on:

'Kilkelly Ireland' Song

Many people have heard this poignant song detailing the story of a father who sees his sons emigrate from Mayo to America, never to return. Thanks to the fine work by Michael Clarke you can now read the original letters written by schoolmaster Pat McNamara to that Kilkelly emigrant.
