Heritage Week at Ballycroy National Park

Ballycroy national park

Ballycroy National Park, according to this year’s National Heritage Week celebrating 100 Years of Heritage, will display a Golden Eagle thankfully donated for short-term viewing from the Wildlife and Heritage Centre, Co. Monaghan.

Last time a Golden Eagle was to be seen in Ireland before their reintroduction, was in Erris, in 1915. Visitors will be able to visit this majestic animal from Saturday 20th August to Sunday 28th August in the Visitor Centre for the duration of Heritage Week.

Also, on Sunday 21st August at 4.00pm Fintan, guide of the Park, will give a talk about Ballycroy National Park and its surrounding area associated with the theme of 100 Years of Heritage.
