The Achill Seafood festival celebrates the maritime culture and it takes place throughout Achill Island. This event kicks off on Friday evening with a launch party followed by The Harbour Festival on Saturday.

The festival programme varies from the boats trips & jawl races to local fresh fish markets at Purteen Harbour.

It includes also displays, lobster tagging, RNLI roadshow, seaweed safari, demonstrations and lots more.

Freshly caught fish is always available on the menus of restaurants.
