A new festival has been launched in Ballina. French Ballina and Food Fleadh Ballina have merged giving birth to the new French Mayo Festival. The event will run from Saturday 27th August to Sunday 28th August.

It celebrates the unique historical connection between Mayo North and France through traditional Irish and French music, song, pageantry and food. The festival will also showcase the best of Mayo-sourced artisan ingredients to create a spectacular French-themed food event, with the historic Military Quarter at the heart of the festivities.

A big musical surprise is expected on Saturday night in the heart of Ballina.
