Ceol na Locha Summer School takes place annually in the Gaeltacht area of Tourmakeady from Monday 10th August to Friday 14th August.

This unique week long event promotes the learning of musical instruments, dancing and painting through the medium of Irish. There are many activities to choose from such as Set dancing, Sean nos dancing, cookery, art, accordion, flute, tin whistle, guitar, banjo, concertina, bodhran, fiddle, and harp.

Óige Ceol na Locha caters for childing in the 5-9 age category, activities include games, art, singing and dancing.

A Comhra and Amhrán Gaeilge workshop takes place on the Tuesday evening 7.00 to 8pm.

Various workshops take place during the week including an organised walk.

The school has over the years taken on an international flavour with participants from the UK, USA, and all over Ireland.
