1st – 8th March 2015

What are your plans for this Lent? May I suggest the following

  1. Attend Mass every day. There will be two at 7am every week. The evening masses will be at 8pm for the season of Lent.

  2. Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament every Saturday evening from 6.45pm – 7.45pm. Please make a special effort to spend some time in adoration of the Blessed Sacrament during Lent.

  3. Take up the Family Rosary. Rosary 7.35pm – Saturday, before vigil Mass.

  4. Stations of the Cross.

  5. Your Trocaire Box has arrived. Place it in a visible location, donate and remember the poor in the Third World.

Second Sunday of Lent

  • Sat 2pm – Island Mass.

  • Sat 6.45pm – Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament.

  • Sat 7.35pm –Rosary. All Welcome. Please come along and pray for the intentions of our Parish.

  • Sat 8pm – Teresa Conway (Anni Mass) & Michael (Tallagh).

  • Sun 11am – Thomas, Mary McGuire & Bernard (Tallagh).

  • Sun 12noon – Glencastle.

  • Mon 8pm – Michael, Bridget, Jack & Felix Murray (Drumslide).

  • Tues 7am – People of the Parish.

  • Wed 7am – Bangor.

  • Wed 8pm – Neil, Bridget & Patsy McGowan (Castlehill).

  • Thurs 7am – Michael & Thomas Calvey (Drumgallagh).

  • Thurs 12noon – Sean Conway (Gorthbrack/London). His funeral Mass takes place today in London at 12noon.

  • Fri 8pm – Anthony Leneghan (Doona W)14th Anni. (req by Mary Hallinan).

Church Building Fund

Church Building Fund – The winners of the January Draw.

  • 3rd Prize - €20 Martin & Kathleen McHugh, Castlehill.

The next draw will take place 29th March. Please remember to return the Orange/Building Fund envelope. If you’re not in, you cannot win!

Third Sunday of Lent

Thank you

Thank you to all who supported our recent RPM Ireland fundraiser.

We thank especially those who gave raffle prizes, donated money, brought tickets and helped with refreshments. We thank Breege and the CE Scheme for all their help.

We thank all who came out to play on the night. We really appreciate the support and generosity of everyone; this made the night a great success.

The result was €1580 profit.

Farewell

Farewell to Margaret Conway, as Margaret moves on to new pastures, we extend our good wishes to her as she leaves Cleary’s after 20 years of service.
