Volunteers needed for The Michaela Camp Summer Camp.

If you are over 17 years of age and are free the 20th-24th of July, why not volunteer to be a leader at this years Michaela Summer Camp for girls.

The camp will be held in The Hub, Knock Shrine. It truly is an inspiring and amazing week for both campettes and leaders.

Fancy living as a hermit for a while? Come to Holy Hill Hermitage for FREE.  Young Adults Programme (18-35): Cost- FREE.    Dates-   1st Oct until 1st Dec 2015.

Working retreats: Cost- 15hrs work a week.   Dates- Ongoing, so when can you come?

Hermits are provided with a comfortable hermitage with well stocked kitchen.

The Young Adults Programme includes, mountain climbing, workshops, seminars, regular Mass, mountain biking, Eucharistic services, Eucharistic adoration, meditation, spiritual direction, contemplation, regular time for silent solitude.

Holy Hill Hermitage is a Catholic Diocesan Institute of Consecrated Life practicing Carmelite spirituality

Knock Counselling Centre

Knock Counselling Centre provides a confidential Drop-In listening service for the local community and for visitors to Knock offering an opportunity to discuss personal issues in a confidential environment.

This service is available on Saturdays and Sundays, 11am to 5pm, from the end of April to October.  Drop In appointments are often available mid-week also.

Tuam Diocesan Pilgrimage Ceremonies

The newly refurbished Basilica will be the venue for the Tuam Diocesan Pilgrimage Ceremonies in Knock this Sunday May 3rd. Ceremonies will commence at 2.30 with the Blessing of the Sick and the Pilgrimage will be led by Archbishop Michael Neary.

Family Life Services Church Collection next W/E 9th & 10th May

The Offertory Collection next weekend will be given over to the Family Centre in Castlebar who care for families and individuals through: Marital/Family/Individual Counselling, Family Mediation, Bereavement Care, Free Legal Advice, Spiritual Direction and Education and Training Programmes.

Ballindine Tidy Towns

Ballindine Tidy Towns have entered Mayo Anti-Litter League running from April to September. 

Any help to keep Ballindine litter free would be a great help and much appreciated.

Volunteer @ Knock Shrine (VAKS)

The Volunteer @ Knock Shrine (VAKS) programme will take place in Knock this Summer.

The VAKS programme is for all over the age of 16 years old. It is an opportunity for you to come to Knock to volunteer for weekends over the Summer.

This is a great way to meet new friends, serve others, express your faith and have fun. 

You must be registered to take part in this programme.  We are currently looking for leaders and volunteers for this programme.

Mayo Cancer Support

Mayo Cancer Support are starting a new knitting group called "Knit & Natter" in Rock Rose House, Castlebar on Friday 8th May at 2pm. It will run for 4 weeks and is open to people with cancer or their families and is free of charge.

Age Action Ireland

Age Action Ireland organises beginner computer classes for the over 55’s. Participants will be taught in small groups by trained volunteer tutors.

Classes run in Claremorris Family Resource Centre and cost €20 for a four week course for two hours per week.

Diocesan Youth Council (DYC)

The Diocesan Youth Council (DYC) would like to invite all young people to join them on their annual climb of Croagh Patrick on Sat 16th May.  Registration takes place at Our Lady’s Grotto, Murrisk at 10.30am. 

Climb followed by a free BBQ.  Suitable clothing and footwear essential as well as packed lunch.  Parental consent necessary if u18yrs.
