AID TO THE CHURCH IN NEED

Sister Maureen O’Connor and Team will be speaking in the Parish next weekend about the mission of AID TO THE CHURCH IN NEED a charity which supports the poor, persecuted and suffering Christians around the world.

Trócaire

Trócaire thanks you most sincerely for your generosity in supporting the organisation's work with people affected by conflict in the Middle East.

Trócaire echoes the call of Pope Francis for your prayer for Christians and all other populations that are suffering at the present time, and for dialogue and reconciliation as the basis for peace.

We remember especially people affected by conflict in the Occupied Palestinian Territories, Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Jordan and Israel trocaire.org.

Tochar Phádraig Pilgrim Path walk takes place Saturday 30th August departing Ballintubber Abbey at 8.30am.

National Grandparents Pilgrimage Knock Basilica

National Grandparents Pilgrimage Knock Basilica on Sunday 14th September, commencing at 2.30pm with the anointing of the sick followed by Mass with Chief Celebrant Archbishop Charles Browne Apostolic Nuncio.

Guest singer: Fr. Liam Lawton and the choir of St. Joseph’s Secondary School Castlebar.

Children are asked to compose a special prayer for their grandparents and to post it to Catholic Grandparents Association, Castlebar St., Westport, Co,. Mayo.

All prayers will be displayed and blessed at this Mass.
