Guided Prayer/Lectio Devina: A quiet space and opportunity to rest in the awareness of God’s presence, beginning Monday 29th September, from 8pm – 8.45pm, in Cúram.

Volunteers

Volunteers are required to help with the Youth choir at the rehearsals 7-8pm Wed. and for the vigil mass Sat 7pm.

An interest in music with an ability to sing /help to direct our growing choir would be an advantage. In order to comply with Safeguarding Children Policy, Garda vetting is necessary.

Knock Shrine Evening of Prayer

Knock Shrine Evening of Prayer in honour of the Archangels to celebrate their feast day on Monday 29th September 2014 at Knock Shrine.

Confessions 8.00p.m - 9.00p.m. in the Reconciliation Chapel. 9pm - Prayer will commence in the Parish Church with Chaplet of St. Michael followed by a talk on the Angels. 10p.m.

Adoration of the Most Blessed Sacrament. 11pm - Will conclude with the celebration of the Holy Eucharist. Night conducted by Fr. Barry Horan.

Women’s Healthy Eating

Women’s Healthy Eating information evening on Wednesday the 24th September at 8p.m. with guest speaker Aoife Walsh Dietician on Women’s Healthy Eating for the winter in Cúram.

This evening will focus on all aspects of our diets with a special focus on nutrition and a varied diet to maintain healthy life.

Admission free. Tea / Coffee and refreshments will be served.

Celtic Flames

Celtic Flames present a spectacular show of music, song, dance and story in the Royal Theatre, Castlebar on Friday 14th Nov. at 8pm.

Total proceeds will go to the Geraldine Lavelle Trust Fund.  Geraldine, a native of Castlebar, suffered a spinal fracture as a result of a cycling accident which has left her paralysed from the chest down.

Blue September is Men’s Cancer Awareness month

Blue September is Men’s Cancer Awareness month. Claremorris Men’s Shed in association with Claremorris FRC are hosting a Men’s Health Awareness talk by the Marie Keating Foundation on Thursday September 25th at 11am in the D’alton Inn Hotel.

This talk is open to the public and the Marie Keating mobile unit will be available outside the venue .
