Mayo Day Celebration

Experience the living Mayo, because Mayo is always on the move !

Mayo Day is the celebration’s day of our ‘Mayo-ness’ in Mayo Communities worldwide. On Saturday 2nd May 2015, Mayo People at home and away have an opportunity to celebrate all that is great about their progressive, can-do and amazing County.

This day is an opportunity for our Business, Communities, Families, Individuals to celebrate who we are, and where we come from, a day in the calendar year that recognises and celebrates Mayo and its people.   The unique concept, driven by Mayo County Council, will see events organised in towns and villages around Mayo, while at the same time events are scheduled in  Mayo Communities overseas.  Lighting of iconic buildings and bridges across our County will take place in addition to lighting of some international iconic locations.

Mayo County Council invites all Mayo Business to play their part,  shops, bars, restaurants across the County to embrace the Inaugural Mayo Day celebrations. This is an opportunity for us to ensure our business is part of this unique event.
