The 2019 Achill Harp Festival will run from Friday 25th October to Monday 28th October in the beautiful surrounding of Achill Island along the Wild Atlantic Way.

The festival is focused on the harp as a significant symbol of Irish culture.

There will be concerts, recitals, harp workshops, harp making workshops, masterclasses, dance and song workshops, talks, walks, exhibitions and archives.

The 2019 harp tutors are Catriona McKay, Ben Creighton Griffiths, Alberto De La Rosa, Kathleen Loughnane, Elaine Hogan , Síle Denvir, Úna ní Fhlannagáin and Laoise Kelly.

Master craftsmen Graham Wright and Kevin Harrington will be the tutors for the four day-harp making workshop. Participants will be able to make their harp starting from the assembly and finishing to the stringing and tuning of the instrument.
