Belmullet is hosting its annual Gala Festival from Saturday 12th August to Tuesday 22nd August 2017.

This fantastic event caters for all the family and includes the traditional Fair Day, the popular Heritage Day, the pig and duck racing, the family fun day, water sports and much more.

The best of the festival is the Heritage Day. Visitors will be able to watch the craftspeople show skills from Ireland of old, listen to buskers and look at dancers and musicians gathering on the streets. On the stalls there will be tempting seafood, Irish coffee and delicious fare. Handmade goods, gifts and souvenirs will be on sale.

There will be also Family Sports Day, Fantasy Football, Treasure Hunts and the Festival Crafts Camp for children.

New for 2017 are the Festival Streets Party & Fireworks and The Raft Race.
