For the first time in County Mayo, the vibrant town of Ballina will host “Other Voices”, the internationally acclaimed music television series and arts festival.

The event will run from Friday 28th to Saturday 29th September 2018.

Ballina, Ireland’s Edge, will join the global network of towns and cities that provide the backdrop to the rich and diverse musical journey of Other Voices, which travelled from Dingle to Derry, New York to Belfast, Texas to London, Berlin and beyond in the last 17 years.

It will be a full immersion weekend of song, story, conversation, debate, live music, creative partnerships and various discussions with artists and speakers from across the world.

The Other Voices TV recordings will take place in the 225-year old St. Michael’s Church in the heart of Ballina.

The Other Voices Music Trail will be held across bars, pubs and clubs throughout the town. 

The Westport born Maria Kelly, who is one of the breakthrough Irish artists of 2018 and topped the poll in the Other Voices Open Call 2017, will be at the TV recording event in St. Michael’s Church along with international and Irish artists.
