Samhain Abhainn Festival will take place from Friday 27th October to Wednesday 1st November in Ballina. This event is becoming one of the best and scariest family festivals in the West of Ireland.

It will celebrate all things spooky and scary; the programme is fully packed with a cauldron of unique and hair-raising events for children of all ages and adults alike.

The Scary Woods Walk is the biggest and scariest event of the festival. This year the group Huxley Horror is back and will assure their presence in the eerie surroundings of Belleek Woods; the walk will be terrifying and more creepy than ever!

The Scary Woods Walk will take place on Friday 27th, Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th October. A gentle daytime Fanta Scary Woods Walk will take place on Monday 30th October for “little screamers” accompanied by adults.

The Festival also includes the Ballina Costume Company Halloween Camp, Spooky Scéals in Jackie Clarke Collection, the Danceblast Workshop, the Pumpkin Carving Workshop, the live owl display “Halloween Hoot”, the Halloween Horror Movie Screening, Fancy Dress Halloween Disco at Tumble Jungle and the Moy Valley AC Halloween Monster 5km run.
