The 2018 Siamsa Sraide Street Festival, meaning “Fun on the Street”, is the quintessential Irish Festival and will run from Friday 3rd August to Wednesday 8th August in Swinford.

The event is full packed with Traditional Irish Music, Rock Music and Crossroads Céilí (on a wooden platform). It includes street performances, a Heritage Day, street market stalls, indoor country market and the acclaimed International Busking Competitions.

The programme depicts regional and cultural variations typical to east Mayo.

There will be also history walks and talks, poetry recitals, a children’s programme, the Open Air Harvest Fair Dance and the Old Harvest Fair Day with Street Stalls.

Sport activities include Senior Cycle 10km, 20km, 50km, Fun Run under 12 and 6 km run.
