The 2017 Westport Arts Festival will take place from Wednesday 27th September to Sunday 1st October in different venues in Westport town and surroundings.

Each autumn since 1975, the Festival offers a rich plethora of events to choose from: music of all kind, dance, theatre, art shows, literature, film, comedy and children’s and family activities.

This year famous musicians such as Trinity Gig, Matt Molloy with John Carty and Arty McGlynn, Castle Gig and Liam Scanlon Dance Performance will perform at the Festival.

Lego Building Competitions, Plein Air Workshop, Generations Quilters Workshop, Fidget Feet Aerial Dance Spectacular, Singing Workshop-With a Song in My Heart and Louise O’Boyle-Digital Art Seminar will cater for children and their families.

Enthusiasts for Literature will be able to meet Eamon O’Flaherty, Helen Falconer, Roberta Beary and Cathal Gunning (book launch: “Innocents”).

Visitors will enjoy brilliant comedies and movies such as Austrian Whiskey Bar 1917, Stolen Child, Moving Home Movies, & Virtues of the Rising, Broken Promise Land, Underneath and Curated On Line Art.

There will be also Visual Art and Exhibitions including Changling, McGings Open, Breda Burns, Veronica Bolay, The Wright Artists Group, Maser, Tommie Lehane and WCFE Retrospective.

But there will be plenty more on offer…
