English Fashion ( July 2002):

I live in Cheltenham which is south west in England. The fashion for girls at the moment is large flared baggy jeans and a tight designer branded logo t-shirt. Many people opt for sports trainers but the majority go for skate shoes e.g. etnies, dcs. Many go for the greebo look which consists of a hoddy usually a band like blink 182 and a pair of baggy jeans. This summer many wear short or medium length demin skirts with a gypsy top.

  • tight jeans, its my favourite cause its comfy and stylish

London Fashion (September 2002):

Hey dont know when this site was last updated but didnt the whole baggy/flares thing go out of season about 3 years ago?

I live in London and its only really twelve year olds who still find clothes like these a novelty - (by the way i dont know how old the writer of the website is or who is the desired target audience)

I'm 16, and in London and the clothes I usually wear are Diesel jeans and Fred Perry and Ralph Lauren polo shirts, gap t-shirts. For evening wear etc hennes tops are good cos they're cheap but dont look it unless you are severely lacking in taste. When I visited america I fell in love with Abercrombie and Fitch so love their t-shirts.

Hope this is useful or interesting for you.

Nicola.

Here in herts I normally wear either baggy s8r jeans or my fave Levis flared, floor skirt, and a tight black tee. Sometimes I wear a tie over the top. I like V necks and coloured tights. My fave outfit is- My Dr Marten 20 hole boots, black and purple striped tights, short black skirt, black top with mesh over the top, long purple coat and loads of black eyeliner. Some peolpe say I look a bit scary, but I learnt my look in Camden, nw1, so. My fave shops are Punkyfish, Birds, H&M, Camden Market and any good market or vintage places wherever I am.

Fashion in Chicago (January 2003):

In Chicago quite a few hot shorties are wearing girly things like pull on stretch flares with animal print tight tops that have ripped neck openings and jordan trainers or combat boots. Low rise tight stretch cammo flares with back zipper & combats with tight strappy tops. They don't wear any face paint but they sure do look hot. in the goth clubs they're saying it takes a real man to wear a skirt and judging by what my sister and our friends are seeing, the fellows are listening. The most outrageous guys wear black skating dresses or very short dance dresses with torn fishnets over dark red, blue or purple tights and combat boots or trainers. Shadow, liner and / or mascara to match their leggings.  Totaly radical beyond belief and what guts they and their girlfriends must have. The energy generated is thick enough to cut with a blade.

Ruth

Hi I'm on the isle of Wight in da far far part of the south in England most our m8s well most the population wear baggy jeans sk8er shoes (etnies dc's skechers buffalos any thing with a make is cool)

Sk8er tops tight tees and slut shoes (6inch'' see through heels ) may b its just me but I think fashion on da isle of wight is pretty cool!
Also here, bright colours r da best. My fav out fit is my pink flares with stringy things cumin off dem fluffy boots and my home made top it was pink wid long sleeves and I just cut dem evenly into shreeds it looks really cool and affective, give it a go!

 Fashion in Texas (January 2003):

Damn its not that hard to find a fashion.....basically whatever i can find...if its on the floor and it doesn't smell bad then its alright!

Catherine from Houston Texas

Fashion in San Diego (January 2003):

Well here the most common thing you'll see along the age of oh 14-19, will be well....lots of different things, 'cause San Diego is already hella diverse...but here's what i know for sure....at least the Frosh and "trendy" kids are like this

Girls:

Sadly, a lot of them like to wear the same thing...whatever is in, they'll wear it...whatever that one chick from Gilmore Girls wears, they'll wear it. But the mostly this is the stuff

  • Platform sandals...like, Rocket Dog, Roxy, or somethin like that
  • Tight-ass jeans....whatever color....some are wearin the fake denim with bleach along the quads and on the rear
  • POSER SHiRTS some wear Roxy, Quicksilver, innes, Hurley and crap like that and they haven't even touched a skateboard/surfboard/bodyboard etc..... but thank goodness, we have a handfull of people who actually do those activites since we do live in beautiful San Diego (unlike those inland places, i.e. Bakersfield, Palm Springs, 909ers..)
  • Aber-frickin-crombie....REALLY sad
  • A lot of plaid...that's cool...
  • Halter tops and spaghetti straps
  • Hooded sweatshirts with bands and what not
  • Band shirts

Guys:

  • Some of them do the poser thing too
  • Skater shoes
  • Really baggy jeans
  • Studded belts
  • Abercrombie?!?!?!
  • Beanies
  • Fitted caps
  • Some wear vintage punk shirts....very hot
  • Band shirts

But one thing is for sure about San Diego fashion...a lot of us (those select few) could care less about trends and we do our own damn thing.....like DUCT TAPE. Yes, we've got rebels wearin' duct tape shorts which is great. A lot of us wear the old-school converse shoes and vintage clothing....really kick-ass...and always, we like to dress up for warm weather.

Lisa

 English Fashion (January 2003):

....also pink converse shoes are on alot of teenz shoppin listz

 Saudi Arabian Fashion (February 2003):

I'm living in saudi arabia... But I'm not Arab. Me and all my frneds are people ranging from places like south africa, scottland, austraillia.. and lots more.. I am Canadian... The style here is mostly still flare jeans... tight t-shirts... flashy jewely and adidas shoes... But I'm not totally into that kind of stuff.. I'm into more funky punk clothes.... On a usual day I'm wearing.. Some sk8 shoes(dc's or whatever, everything doesnt have to be brand name for me...) a semi tight tshirt or spapy top.. Preferably more than one color and if not black or white... A pair of baggy past the knee shorts.. in other words some mens baggy shorts in Xtra lage with a belt... Lots of eyeliner..(thats it for make-up) sum of my funky colored spike cuffs. Shag bands..(you know those kids plastic braclets.. well lots of em..) either black or funky colours depending on my mood... rings and fuky socks.. Like striped ones with funy colours of somthing.. My hair is usually down(which is a mess since i have really wavy hair) but sumtimes I put it in pigtails...  I sometimes wear sweat bands... I never wear spiky collors... but I do wear(this may sound odd) but cat collars.. I started this when I was really young.. I took my cats collar off and put it on.. since then its been my thing.. One thing out of many that set me apart from every1 else!! I have been considerd a punk... and a sk8er chik...Whitch is cool cuz lets just say there isnt many more around here.. Every1 here dresses the same.. and its getting old!! sk8er boys are almost all thats here.. and yes.. there hott!!!!!!

PEACE OUT!

Danielle

Fashion in Ohio (February 2003):

I wear flares and cut-off Dickies, tube socks and sneekers, pink ones with Strawberry Shortcake laces, any thing Hello Kitty and colorful. You gotta have super straight shiny hair and really glossy lips. Thats what I wear here in Ohio, most others do to, at least my friends do.

Allison

British fashion ( March 2003):

I love the 70's retro style. My whole fashion trend right now is like a satin coat in a bright colour with a design or airbrushing on the back. Hightop chuck-taylors with airbrush. Plain t-shirt of vintage and hoop nameplate earrings and bangle braclets. I love fashion too. When I get older I want to be a fashion designer.

Brit-Brat

English Fashion (March2003):

My clothes are mostley retro, I love bright colours and fish net tops. My fave shops are :
