The Journey Home

Travelling through unknown time,
Roaming all alone,
Searching,searching,searching,
For the path that leads you home.

Blessings will outnumber
The obstacles you find,
As you wander wearily
With heavy heart and mind.

The strength you shall require
Will not come from without,
But lurking in the shadows
Hiding in your doubt.

There is a force that moves you
That guides you everyday,
Recognize and draw upon,
This will along the way,

Count will and wit among your friends
So as not to be alone.
Sweat and tears are not in vain
Along your journey home.

- Gertrude Nicholas, 15 years
