Anticipation, Excitement, and Still More to Come
As I await your presence, my feelings well up inside.
Soon you will be with me, and I will yurn for you no longer.
My work is less meaningful when you are on my mind.
Your smile, your kiss, experienced once before, your eyes burning into my soul.
I must finish my work, but how can I go on.
I think of you every minute, wondering who you are, if you love me, and if these feelings are true.
 How can I go on?
Here you are; I feel your kiss, see your smile, look into your eyes, as they look into mine.
These eyes have no doubt, so why should mine.
As I break away to regain my focus, I return for a parting kiss.
That sweet taste that lasts forever.
I return to my work, which I am finally able to finish.
My anticipation and excitement are soothed,
Let there is still more to come.
