Teen Mag

Ancient Tower
 Rolling, turning, churning
Waves come in from beyond sight
Up to the old watchtower point
 Relic of a bellicose past,
 Sentinel holding watch
 For a now forgotten foe.
 Ancient remnant
 Over-grown with grass
Home now to many wild flowers
Long gone are the guards who stood
Searching the horizon for an enemy flag.

In the stead of men stands the daffodil

 Pretty yellow bloom
 Sentinel of spring
Watching for the sail of the summer sun
At the sound of the alarm
 Thousands bloom round the tower
Ready for the spring queen‚s court
 Fairies take out their wands
 Working magic on stones
Jagged rocks painted in a hue of vibrant yellow
Like the wave, they come in from beyond sight
 Crashing, trashing, splashing
