This Traditional Culture Festival will take place from Sunday 1st to Tuesday 17th March 2015 in various venues in County Mayo. It is an annual international Irish language festival, and one of the biggest celebrations of Mayo’s native language and culture. The festival gives an opportunity to visitors to enjoy Irish with a calendar of entertaining and fun events for every type of interest and every age group. Voluntary and community groups, local authorities, schools, libraries, and music, sports, arts and culture organisations all hold events in their local area.

Croagh Patrick Heritage Trail Walking Festival is a three days guided walking festival along a 60km route on the Croagh Patrick Heritage trail including moderate to hard walking. It takes place from 20th March to 22nd March 2015 starting from Balla Community Centre and ending in Murrisk.
The Trail passes through boreens, minor roads, small sections of woodland, historical houses and archaeological remains and it reaches the villages of Killavally and Aghagower. Following a track in the beautiful Brackloon Woods the Trail meets the well known path to Croagh Patrick Mountain near Murrisk where it finishes.
