Ballina, the Salmon Capital of Ireland, hosts this very popular and family friendly festival with over 100,000 visitors each year.

This years the event runs from Wednesday 13th July to Sunday 17th July.

The Ballina Salmon Festival includes the Heritage Day, where visitors can see craftspeople display their trades of tinsmiths, thatching, butter making, woodturning and blacksmithing.

The Festival also offers different daily programmes of events and workshops especially for children, while all over the week delicious food stalls and traditional music make a fantastic atmosphere. New this year is the Krazy Kart Race.

On Sunday the Festival ends with the favourite for kids Teddy Bears Picnic, the famous Mardi Gras and the amazing fireworks display overlooking the River Moy.
