For the Ireland’s National Biodiversity Week (14th-22nd May), Ballycroy National Park Visitor Centre will run a special free event: “BIOBLITZ For KIDS”. This family-friendly event will take place on the ground of the Visitor Centre on Sunday 15th May 2016 from 2.30pm to 4.00pm.

Children will be able to see animals, birds and plants in their habitats. A special introductory talk will take place in our classroom to organise teams and BIOBLITZ methods. National Park Guide Hazel Doyle will then advise and lead participants in their hunt for species. Teams will compete to see who finds the most plant and animal species. All participants will be given biodiversity gifts.

Children must be accompanied by adults.
