Ceol na Locha Summer School 2016

Ceol na Locha Summer School 2016 will take place from Monday 8th to Friday 12th August at Coláiste Mhuire, Tourmakeady.

This unique event, now in its 18th years, promotes the learning of musical instruments, dancing and painting through the medium of Irish. There are many activities to choose from such as Set dancing, Sean nos dancing, art, cooking, accordion, flute, tin whistle, guitar, banjo, concertina, bodhran, fiddle and harp. Classes start at 10.00 am and finish at 1.30pm. Beginners are welcome.

Various workshops take place during the week such as Óige Ceol na Locha which caters for childing in the 5-9 age category; activities include games, art, singing and dancing.

Over the years the school has taken on an international flavour with participants from the UK, USA and all over Ireland and caters for all ages.
