Knock Shrine has launched the next and vibrant Faith Renewal Programme after the last year’s success. The new series will take place in October and November in Knock. The programme will include workshops, talks, concerts and courses all created to support and encourage people in search of their Faith. The Faith Renewal Autumn-Winter Programme is nourishment for our soul.

October Workshops

Quiet Days for Busy People

This series will take place on Saturday 1st October, Saturday 5th November and Saturday 3rd December from 10am to 4pm.

Participants will enjoy three days of quiet reflection discovering a new life in the heart of the Gospels. The last workshop, called Digital Detox, will help people to disconnect from technology for a day, nourish the soul and be aware of who they are in God’s presence.

Digital Detox

Digital Detox will take place on Saturday 3rd December from 10.00am to 4pm. This workshop has been devised to help participants to disconnect from technology for a day, nourish the soul and be aware of who they are in God’s presence.

Leading God’s People in Prayer, training and formation

Leading God’s People in Prayer will take place on Thursday 6th October (part 1) and Thursday 13th October (part 2) from 8pm to 10.00pm. These training and formation evenings will help participants in leading public prayer in their local church. Mary Connolly, MA in Liturgy Studies and member of the National Council for Liturgy will lead these events.

The Story of Love Concert

The Story of Love Concert, produced by Willie Hughes, will take place on Saturday 15th October and Sunday 16th at Knock Basilica at 8.00pm. Multimedia presentations will be included in the concert, while a massive Universal Choir of Love, made up from choirs from around the world, will end the event. Three Italian singers, Nicola Gargaglia, Veronica Liberati and Giada Mercandelli, will perform in the concert.

November Workshop

God You’re Breaking My Heart

This workshop will take place on Saturday 12th November from 10.00am to 3.00pm. Participants will reflect and discuss about suffering and evil following the text “God, You’re Breaking my Heart: How does God Respond to Suffering and Evil?” (Dublin: Messenger Publications, 2016) by Brian Grogan SJ, who will present the event.

Living in Hope Day

The workshop Living in Hope Day will take place on Saturday 26th November from 10.00am to 3pm. Participants will be able to experience a quiet day in God’s presence and will be led into a new hope by His Light. Deirdre Ní Chinnéide will present this event.
