For the first time, the Irish National Sheep Dog Trials will take place in County Mayo on the stunning Achill Island from Thursday, July 19th to Saturday, July 21st 2018.

The Top 150 Sheepdogs from Southern Ireland, Northern Ireland and the Isle of Man, along with their handlers, will take part in the event.

Competitors will come from every corner of the country and many visitors will be expected from all Europe.

There will also be a Brace Competition; 18 brace dogs will compete to be a member of the Irish Team each day at lunchtime.

On the final day, the highest scoring dog will be named Overall Irish Champion and Team Captain.
