Mayo Mud Run will take place on Saturday 1st April 2017 in Moygownagh, Ballina. Race starts at 1pm. This event, the first of its kind in the West of Ireland, started in 2013 and last year attracted over 1500 participants. It isn’t only a fun activity, but also a serious challenge for all fitness levels.
The 8.5 km run starts on the road but quickly reaches the countryside and the forest where the mud is the common denominator. Participants run, jog, walk, crawl and jump through fields, water and drains enjoying a dirty fun day out. The run includes many natural obstacles set in the natural rugged terrain of Moygownagh. It will take approx 1-1.5 to complete the course.
Volunteers help on site providing first-aid and refreshments for all competitors after the event.
A great day out for all!
