The 2018 Ballinrobe Festival will take place from Thursday July 26th to Sunday July 29th in the Big Red Barn, pubs and restaurants in town.

Ballinrobe will be painted Red and Green and the Festival will be fully packed with worldclass events fun and entertainment for all the family including sports tournaments, children’s entertainment and tasty food.

The Limerick-based band Hermitage Green and Bagatelle will perform at the festival as the main features.

There will be also an acoustic session of born Ballinrobe musicians such as Kevin May, Con Murphy and Martin Farragher at ‘Live at the Library’ in Ballinrobe Library.

This year the Ballinrobe’s popular Queen of the Lakes Festival will take place on Sunday 29th July in the barn.

The Queen tradition started almost 30 years ago when the Queen of the Mask contest was held. Contestants will take part from all around the Lake District.

The winning girl will go forward to next year’s Rose of Mayo contest. The winner in the Rose of Mayo takes part in the Rose of Tralee.
