Ballina Salmon Festival

The annual Ballina Salmon Festival, which first commenced in 1964, is a family orientated festival and offers something for every age group and taste.

Over 200,000 visitors descend on the Salmon Capital of Ireland (Ballina) to enjoy this tremendous event, which is one of the leading community based festivals in the west of Ireland.

The 2014 edition of Ballina Salmon Festival will take places from 6th to 13th July 2014

In Humbert's Footsteps

In Humbert's Footsteps, national winner of "the Gathering of the Year Event" in 2013, is a very spectacular event that takes place on the streets of Ballina. It is a battle re-enactment including several other Living History Events.

In town library a diorama of the "Races of Castlebar" was constructed as part of the 1798 commemorative festival.
