Hi, My name is James Hession Whalen, Poughkeepsie, NY [removed] My research into my Hession side has taken me to Peter Hession of Ballinrobe marrying Mary Feeney... They had a son James baptized 28 Nov. 1850... Sponsors were Pat and City (Kitty?) Dolan, Ballinrobe... James Hession married Catherine Mannion and had 3 children - Bridget 1881 (Delia), Mary 1883 & John 1883 in Ballisnahina Shrule, County Mayo... James died 22 Oct. 1889... Mary Hession married my grandfather Michael Molloy... They had three girls, Teresa, Annie (my mother) and Mary... Mary Hession died during childbirth 5 Sept, 1911... Delia Hession went to New York and brought her 3 neices over one at a time... Michael Molloy remarried and had 13 more children... The Molloy family home (originally Hession) remains in Ballisnahina/Shrule... Anyone with information feel free to contact me, especially any possible family links...
