Conway
In a passage from Fr. Sean Noone's book,Where the Sun Sets" I have found out that a relative Hugh Conway, Bishop of Killla, was born in Logduff More in this area. I would be very interested in any information that I could get about the family. Hopefully, there might be some living relatives in the area. I know that the Bishop's nephew Fr. Michael A. Conway baptized my grandmother, Bridget Gallagher Davoren, in 1865 in his parish at Killala. My grandmother's mother was Maria Conway who married Richard Gallagher. She was Fr. Conway's housekeeper in Killala after her husband died. I do not know if the Gallagher family was also from this area. Eager to discover all that I can from California about either family. Thanks
