July 2020 RESCHEDULED TO 12th SEPTEMBER

The Achill Half Marathon and 10k will take place on Saturday 4th July 2020.

It has won two prestigous titles 'Best Half Marathon' and 'Most Scenic Route' in 2018.

The event has been staged in Achill since 2007 and is approved by Athletics Ireland.

It attracts runners from all over the world. It is open to adults over 18 years of age.

The event starts and finishes in Keel. The Half Marathon starts at 10.30 am and the 10K starts at 11.15 am.

It runs along the spectacular Wild Atlantic Way on Achill Island passing near the most attractive points of interest of the island such as the Deserted Village, the Megalithic Tombs, the Mission Settlement, Golden Strand, Dugort Strand and Keel Lough.

Along the way, there will be several roadside water stations.

In 2019 the event “went green” providing water in reusable cups at the Race HQ and at the six water stations eliminating around 12,500 plastic bottle.
