The 2020 Ballina Fringe Festival will run from Friday 9th October to Sunday 18th October in Ballina. It will be a pandemic friendly festival which will take place on the streets of the town.

All events, tours and discoveries will be self guided.

The Ballina Mart will be turned into a drive in movie theatre to host the event “ Movies at the Mart” on Saturday 16th October.

Pure Ballina will be back with street artist and social justice advocate Maser who will create stunning murals together with Foroige Neighbourhood Youth Project. The street art collection will be launched on Sunday 17th October.

Also there will be a lockdown photography exhibition and a shop-window curated art trail by local artists.

Online interactive events will include some bi-lingual podcast series and the work shop “ So you want to be a writer?” with Mike McCormack and the local author Kate Kerrigan.

The Moy Sessions will bring music at the festival with performances by Greg Pearle, Billow Wood, Laoise Kelly and David Munnelly & Shane McGowan in different venues such as St. Michael’s Church of Ireland, Kennedy Glasgow House, and Ballina Arts Centre.
