Christmas is coming, and Mayo’s towns and villages are getting ready to celebrate. Many Christmas Fairs and Markets will bring a truly festive atmosphere along the streets decorated with Christmas lights. Stalls will be fully packed with ideal gifts to buy for everyone in the family.

Ballina

The 2022 Mistletoe Markets will run on Saturday 10th December and Sunday 11th December from 11 am to 6 pm and take place

on Walsh Street beside the Jackie Clarke Museum.

Local and continental food, sweet treats, wonderful gifts and crafts will be on offer in a safe and unique joyful shopping experience in the heart of the town.

Claremorris

The 2022 Winter Market will take place on Sunday 27th November in the Town Hall Theatre from 11 am to 5 pm.

The market will be packed with stalls, and there will be a large variety of items including vintage and handmade jewellery, candles, toys, sweets, artwork, crafts and beauty products.

Food, beverage and music will bring a festive atmosphere to this special day.

Foxford

Foxford Craft Fair will run from Friday 2nd December to Sunday 4th December in Foxford Sport and Leisure Centre.

Irish-made handcrafted gifts, woodcraft, pet portraits, faux flowers, glass, jewellery, knitting, pottery and seasonal food will be some ideas for this year's Christmas presents.

Knock

The Knock Christmas Market will take place on Saturday 10th December and Sunday 11th December at Pope Francis Plaza from 10 am to 4 pm. Great ideas made by local crafters will be on offer at the Christmassy stalls.

Swinford

Swinford Christmas Market will take place Saturday 3rd and Sunday 4th of December, from 10:30 am to 4:00 pm in the Cultural Centre Swinford. Many tempting Christmas stalls will sell a variety of handmade gifts and food. There will also be a raffle with a chance to win a hamper of goodies.

Newport

This year, the lovely town of Newport will set up a new Christmas Village. On Sunday 4th December there will be the lighting of the village and Santa’s arrival. Santa will switch on the Christmas lights, and a Christmas market will run from 4 pm to 7 pm.

Local crafters will put on sale their handcrafted products including jewellery, candles, artwork and more.

Belmullet

The 2022 Belmullet Christmas Market will take place on Saturday 17th December from 11 am to 6 pm. Local Crafts, gifts, food, baking and hot beverages will be on offer on the stalls. Mr & Mrs Clause will visit the market and children will enjoy a lot of Christmassy attractions. There also will be live music on the day.
