The town of Claremorris is hosting its 97th Agri Show on Sunday 2nd August. It is a very well known festival in Mayo and a wonderful occasion for a good family day out.

The Show is packed with fun, games and novelty events all day long and offers many attractions to suit all visitors from a rich plethora of competitions to cookery demonstrations.

The competitions will see horses, donkeys, cattle, sheep and fowl compete for prizes, sorted into different classes.

There will be competitions for vintage, garden produce, flowers, jams, eggs, cookery and handicrafts, but also for the best hand-painted picture and the best dressed Lady.

There will be also a photographic competition for the best photograph depicting the show, competitions for Primary and Secondary Schools and a dog agility demonstration.

This year the Show will host the All Ireland Home Cook 2015 Cook Off. The Grand Final Will be at Castleblaney on Monday 3rd August.

All children will have a great fun-day: free face painting, free bouncing castles, free sports and pony rides.

Adults will enjoy the Ceili Band, the open air dancing and the Shop Street where stalls will be filled with all kinds of fare from Mayo, truly a must for all good food lovers.

Another important mention is the cookery workshop with T.V. Chef Adrian and the celebrity chef Frank Moynihan.
